The legendary actor cum singer Ruma Guha Thakurta dies yesterday at her residence in Kolkata. Her age was 84.
Her funeral is scheduled in the evening. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee also tweeted about the incident.

Daughter of Satyen Ghosh and and singer Sati Devi did work on many top rated bengali film such as Ganga, Jwar Bhata, Balika Badhu any many more. Like her Husband Kishore Kumar, she was also a great singer. She gave her voice to many Bengali film such as Lukochuri, Baksho Badal, etc.
She was a good dancer also. She founded a song and dance troupe called the Calcutta Youth Choir in 1958. She married Kishore Kumar in Mumbai and have two sons and a daughter. Currently, her one of son Amit Kumar is a Bollywood singer and composer also.
